Craft fairs support local vendors

Christmas came early for shoppers at local craft fairs this weekend.

Bonneville High School and Thunder Ridge High School both hosted craft fairs Saturday. Shoppers could find holiday decor, gifts and some treats. The two fairs had more than 200 vendors combined, most of which sold local, handmade goods. Craft fairs such as these are a way to support those local vendors.

“We want them to be able to sell their products, boost their businesses and have the community support local vendors,” said Haylie Rowberry, organizer of the Bonneville Craft Fair.

“A lot of people are starting their own businesses right now,” said Colissa Teeter, organizer of the Thunder Ridge Craft Fair. “There’s a lot of people selling their crafts, you know, and their homemade things for the holidays so it is. It’s a fun thing and it’s important to a lot of them to be able to do this, it’s fun.”

If you missed Saturday’s craft fairs, Hillcrest High School is hosting a Santa’s Workshop Craft Fair Dec. 1.
