Pocatello Police hosting active shooter training at Parents’ Night Out
The Pocatello Police Department will be training people, parent or not, the Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) course, during Parents’ Night Out Tuesday.
Hosted at Outer Limits Fun Zone in Pocatello, the department will be teaching people about active shooters and how to respond.
Lt. Eric Anderson said that CRASE training is the standard across the country.
“It’s a training that we do all over the area for schools, administrators, teachers and local businesses,” Anderson said.
“Statistically speaking, if there is an active shooter event or some type of threat, it’s going to primarily be in a business.”
Anderson said that anyone who wants to get the training can and all are welcome to Outer Limits. The training will begin at 6:30 p.m.
