Snowpack at 105% of median in Wyoming

Wyoming’s snowpack heading into the spring thaw is 105% of median with the highest snowpack readings in the southeast part of the state.

According to the Natural Resources Conservation Service, the snowpack levels in Wyoming ranged from a high of 129% along the Lower North Platte Basin to a low of 80% in the Tongue River Basin on Monday.

The statewide median this week is down slightly from the week before, when it was at 108%.

Last year at this time, the state’s snowpack averaged 112% while in 2017 it was at 132%.
