Idaho Falls police warn of scam call going around
The Idaho Falls Police Department is making the public aware of a new scam going around.
In a Facebook post Saturday, police said a person is calling and claiming to be from a jail around the country. The caller claims that a loved one got into trouble and needs you to pay their bail.
IFPD said jail staff do not call family members to solicit bail money on behalf of inmates.
The Idaho Falls Police Department also wrote that you should always be suspicious when a stranger calls and asks for money, no matter what their story is.
