3 suspects charged after alleged robbery
Bonneville County deputies arrested three persons around 10:15 p.m. Tuesday after a man told authorities he was threatened with a gun and beaten by two men.
Jacob M. Potter, 34 and Kristle J. Watts, 34, of Bonneville County and Graciela Lopez-Herrerra, 54, of Rigby were detained while deputies executed a search warrant in the 500 block of Lakewood Avenue. The Sheriff’s Office SWAT team was activated to serve the warrant and keep the area safe and secure for the neighborhood.
According to reports, the victim said he was at the residence to purchase marijuana before he was threatened and beaten. He said one of the suspects pointed a gun at him, took what he had in his pockets and told him to leave or he would be shot. The victim was checked by paramedics and deputies observed multiple cuts and abrasions to his face.
Deputies had been to the home on report of a disturbance earlier in the day.
During the search, deputies found property allegedly taken from the victim hidden inside the residence, a handgun, and various illegal narcotics. Lopez-Herrerra was also in possession of 5 grams of methamphetamine.
Potter and Watts were arrested on felony charges of possession of methamphetamine and heroin, and misdemeanor charges for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Lopez-Herrerra was booked on charges of felony possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
