Victims of Sunday crash identified
IDAHO FALLS (KIFI/KIDK)-UPDATE: 10-19-20-The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office has now identified the victims of an early morning crash that claimed three lives early Sunday.
Omar Arias, 19, of Idaho Falls was the driver of a red Subaru. He was west bound on 49th South and failed to yield for a stop sign at the Holmes Avenue intersection, according to investigators.
Arias’ car struck a south bound, silver Hyundai driven by Alexandria Dalessi, 24, of Idaho Falls. Her passenger was identified as Sarah Lenon, 24, also of Idaho Falls.
The crash is still under investigation.

Two women and a man were killed in an early Sunday morning crash south of Idaho Falls.
The Bonneville County Sheriff's Office reports, "At approximately 3:10am this morning, Bonneville County Sheriff’s Deputies, Idaho Falls Police Officers, and Idaho Falls Fire, responded to the intersection of South Holmes and 49th South, to a two vehicle crash. As emergency personnel arrived, they located two vehicles submerged in the adjacent canal and two female adults who had been ejected from one of them. One female was found deceased on the scene and Idaho Falls Fire transported the other to the hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
While emergency personnel and a Sheriff’s Office Diver searched the canal for further victims, a wrecker was called to the scene to retrieve one of the vehicles that was upside down and under the water. Upon doing so a male adult occupant was discovered deceased and trapped inside. No other victims or persons involved were located.
Deputies determined the vehicle with the male victim was traveling west on 49th S. and failed to yield to a south bound vehicle occupied by the two females, at the intersection with Holmes. Deputies believe alcohol was a factor and the crash is still under investigation.
The Sheriff's Office has identified the victims as Omar Arias, 19 of Idaho Falls. He was driving a Red Subaru west bound on 49th S when he failed to yield for a stop sign at the intersection with Holmes. Arias collided with a south bound Silver Hyundai driven by 24 year old Alexandria Dalessi of Idaho Falls. Dalessi’s passenger was identified as 24 year old Sarah Lenon, also of Idaho Falls.
