The do’s and dont’s of sharing scraps with your pets on Thanksgiving

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) – As we are gathering our Thanksgiving meal left overs, it's tempting share them with our four legged friends.

The Idaho Humane Society says, it's okay to do, but be mindful of what you feed your pets. They posted lists to their Facebook page.

Their recommendations regarding raw meat is particularly for processed raw meat. For ham and mashed potatoes they say the salt, fat and preservatives are not the best for pet consumption.
