Rexburg resident arrested for sexual exploitation of child

RUPERT, Idaho (KIFI) - After a three-month-long investigation, the Rupert Police Department, in close collaboration with the Rexburg Police Department, Madison County Sheriff's Office and the Office of the Idaho Attorney General's Internet Crimes against Children Task Force (ICAC Task Force), executed an arrest warrant on Tuesday.

The warrant was issued for the apprehension of 22-year-old Rexburg resident Benjamin Hicks on charges related to the sexual exploitation of a child.

The investigation that led to this arrest culminated in a Minidoka County judge granting an arrest warrant for Benjamin Hicks.

The Rupert Police Department said the cooperative efforts from the Rexburg Police Department, Madison County Sheriff's Office and the ICAC Task Force played an essential role in ensuring the successful execution of the arrest warrant.
