Search warrant results in drug arrests

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - UPDATE 5/22/24: Bonneville County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested three individuals Tuesday after serving a search warrant at an Idaho Falls residence.

Detectives from the Special Investigations Unit obtained the warrant for a residence in the 800 block of Masters Dr. as part of an ongoing drug investigation and arrived there at approximately 3:30 p.m. to serve it.

For safety purposes, the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team was utilized to help make sure the incident was contained to the residence in question. 

After their arrival, deputies detained eight subjects who were found inside the residence. Detectives then conducted a search as outlined in the warrant, locating multiple items of drug paraphernalia and a small amount of methamphetamine. 

One of the detained subjects, 59-year-old William T. Stevens, was transported to the Bonneville County Jail and booked for felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Two others, 44-year-old Joel B. Herndon and 41-year-old Jason W. Glover were also arrested and booked into jail for misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.  

The rest of the detained individuals were released at the scene, and detectives are continuing to investigate.  No further information is available at this time.
