Camp Magical Moments helping kids with cancer

SWAN VALLEY, Idaho (KIFI) – Camp Magical Moments has been around for 19 years. The free camp is a place where children with cancer can go to find healing, friendship, fun and so much more.

Children ages 7-12 from all over the nation come to experience it.

This year, camp started on Sunday and will continue until Saturday. This year's theme was Jurassic Park.

A few activities the children will get to participate in are arts and crafts, rock climbing and horse back riding.

CMM is aimed to help kids simply be kids without all the stigmas surrounding their disaease.

The camp is offered each year, but CMM also holds camps for family members like a mom's retreat, dad's retreat and sibling camp, a way for everyone in the family to heal from the hardships cancer may bring.

To register and find more information on those retreats and next year's CMM camp, visit their website.
