Pedestrian identified after being struck, killed by truck
LAVA HOT SPRINGS, Idaho (KIFI) - UPDATE 2:20 p.m. The Bannock County Coroner’s Office, in cooperation with Idaho State Police, confirmed the identity of the man hit and killed Tuesday morning on US 30 at milepost 373, near Lava Hot Springs.
Officials say 34-year-old Tyler Blair of Pocatello succumbed to his injures at the scene of the crash.
Next of kin has been notified.
The incident remains under investigation by Idaho State Police.
“My deepest sympathies to Tyler’s friends and family as they grieve this sudden loss,” Coroner Torey Danner said.
ORIGINAL: A 34-year-old man was hit and killed Tuesday morning on US 30 at milepost 373, near Lava Hot Springs.
According to Idaho State Police, at 6:24 a.m. a white Ford F150, driven by a 58-year-old Bancroft man was traveling westbound on US 30 at 373 when a 34-year-old man was in the lane of travel and was struck by the Ford F150.
The man in the roadway succumbed to his injures at the scene of the crash.
Police say the driver of the Ford was wearing a seatbelt.
The crash is under investigation at this time.
