Several campaigns targeted drunk driving, so did they work?
Officials say multiple DUI arrests were made over this past holiday week from multiple law enforcement agencies, and overall, there was a slight increase in DUI incidents over this past holiday week compared to prior years.
The Pocatello Police Department had 10 DUI arrests, and four of those were on New Year's Day alone.

The Idaho Falls Police Department made seven total arrests over this previous week too, which is an increase from the one DUI arrest they had over 2022 to 2023's holiday week.
The best way for us to avoid drinking and driving is to make a plan before we drink.
"People need to be aware of when they're drinking to call for an uber or a taxi, get a designated driver," Pocatello Lieutenant Val Wadsworth said. "Be smart about things and not take the risk in going drinking and driving and putting others in jeopardy and jeopardizing their safety as well as there's."
The Idaho Falls Police Department also completed its annual DUI report. It was discovered the number of DUI incidents for their area increased from 147 in 2022 to 193 in 2023.
If you suspect someone may be driving under the influence, dial 911.
Officers say the majority of their DUI incidents are first reported by bystanders and it could save a life from being lost.
