Driggs Mayor walks with elementary students

DRIGGS, Idaho (KIFI) - The Driggs Mayor went on a walk with students at Driggs Elementary Students Wednesday Afternoon. Currently the mayor is participating in a competition with all the other mayors in the state to see who can walk the most steps in a year.

During the walk, the students asked Mayor August Christensen what it is like to be the mayor of Driggs as well as what her job entails. The mayor shared stories with the students to help them understand her important role in local politics.

After the walk, the Mayor shared with the students that together they walked "Three Thousand Four Hundred steps."

The students also told the mayor some of the issues they felt she needed to look at as mayor.
