PONTIAC, Mich. (AP) — A judge is hearing more testimony at a hearing to determine if a Michigan school shooter will get a life prison sentence. Seventeen-year-old Heidi Allen described how she saw Ethan Crumbley come out of a bathroom with a gun at Oxford High School in 2021. Four students were killed and seven more people were wounded. Heidi says she pulled a wounded girl into an empty classroom, locked the door and applied pressure to her wounds. The victim survived. The shooter’s lawyers want a prison sentence that will give him an opportunity for parole. They say he suffered from mental illness and grossly negligent parents.
