LANSING, Mich. (AP) — Police say a man dressed in black who works for a group that conducts opposition research on Democrats was stopped while climbing a bluff near the Michigan governor’s summer home in August. The Associated Press obtained the report Tuesday. The man’s name was not released, though he said he worked for America Rising, a Republican opposition group. He says he wanted to take pictures of Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and any visiting politicians and meant no harm. The investigation has been closed.
