WASHINGTON (AP) — The Supreme Court has rejected an appeal from Michael Cohen, who wanted to hold his former boss ex-president Donald Trump liable for a jailing that Cohen said was retaliation for writing a tell-all memoir. The justices did not detail their reasoning in the brief order Monday. Cohen had asked the justices to revive a lawsuit filed after he pleaded guilty to charges in connection with hush money paid to porn actor Stormy Daniels. Authorities said he would have been out of prison early but refused to agree to release conditions. Cohen said he was jailed again because he wanted to speak out about his book.
