2nd annual Pocatello Historic Home Tour taking place on Saturday

POCATELLO, Idaho (KIFI) - Pocatello’s historic structures are set to open their doors for a day of touring, and it’s all for a good cause.

The 2nd Annual Pocatello Historic Home Tour will be held on Saturday. Oct. 7. The tour is scheduled from from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Attendees will have the opportunity to visit several historical locations in Pocatello.

The six central neighborhoods of Pocatello are set to benefit from the proceeds of the event.

Tickets for the event are $25, and all proceeds will go towards supporting neighborhood beautification projects or activities for the six neighborhood associations in Pocatello.

This event is a great opportunity for everyone in the community to come together and help fund impactful projects.

The event is designed to be flexible, and attendees can choose how they prefer to visit these homes.

Participants can catch a ride on the trolley from the parking lot across from Pocatello High School, located at N Arthur and Lander, anytime between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Alternatively, participants can drive or walk to locations on their own.

The locations included in the 2023 tour are as follows:

  • The Purpose Center, located at 224 N Main St.
  • Station Square, located at 200 S Main St.
  • Masonic Lodge, located at 535 N Arthur
  • Bonneville Commons, located at Lander and 8th (Come see the new development in this historic neighborhood)
  • 740 N Arthur
  • 755 N Arthur
  • 734 N Garfield
  • 442 S Garfield
  • 631 S 9th
  • 550 S 9th

“Last year’s tour was a huge success, and we hope that attendees will enjoy it as much this year,”  NeighborWorks Pocatello Community Engagement and Marketing Coordinator Katie McCarthy said. “This is a great community event that allows people to step inside a piece of Pocatello’s history.”

The 2023 tour is also being made possible by ten Pocatello area business or organizations which are designated as “Mansion” sponsors. This includes AmeriTitle, Ray’s Custom Interiors, M&M Contracting, Cottonwood Junction, ReMaxCountry Real Estate, Gate City Real Estate, City of Pocatello Lead Safe & Healthy Homes Program, ISU College of Business, Idaho Central Credit Union and Carpet One.
