New BYU–Idaho president inaugurated Tuesday

REXBURG, Idaho (KIFI) - Even though he has been serving as the new president at Brigham Young University - Idaho for the past couple of months, Alvin F. Meredith III will officially be inaugurated Tuesday.

Meredith began serving as president on Aug. 1.   

He replaces Henry J. Eyring who was president for six years. 

Two members of the Quorum of Twelve Apostles for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will officiate the inauguration Tuesday. 

They are Elder D. Todd Christofferson and Elder Ronald A. Rasband. 

The inauguration will be streamed on the school's website beginning at 11:30 a.m.
