Idaho Falls donations delivered to Park County firefighters
IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI/KIDK)-An Idaho Falls Fire Department team, led by Information Officer Kerry Hammon, presented a check to the Park County, Montana Fire District in Livingston this week.
The check represented community donations to a fund esablished to compensate the Montana department for losses its team suffered during a stop in Idaho Falls in early November. Those losses were estimated at around $1,500.
The Park County firefighters were on their way to provide assistance to California wildfires, when gear and equipment were stolen from their vehicle.
Buffalo Wildwings and Pachanga's restaurants helped establish a fund to replace the value of that stolen equipment. The check was presented to the team in Livingston this week.
The Idaho Falls Police Department is continuing to investigate the theft as an auto burglary. A $500 reward is offered to anyone with information leading to the arrest of those responsible.
Anyone with information is asked to please contact Crime Stoppers at (208)522-1983 or ifcrime.org to be eligible for the reward. You are able to give information anonymously and still be eligible for the reward.
