Wyoming medium-security inmate dies at hospital

CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - A Wyoming prison inmate has died at a hospital.

Clarence Hinckley, 57, died Saturday at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper. He was incarcerated at the state medium-security prison in Torrington before being hospitalized for an undisclosed medical condition, the Casper Star-Tribune reports.

Hinckley originally was from Cheyenne. He was serving five to 12 years in prison for drug possession after being sentenced in January 2020 in Campbell County.

An autopsy was planned.
