Teton County to host second event on Draft Water Quality Management Plan

Teton County

JACKSON, Wyo. (KIFI) – Teton County would like to remind the public there is still time to provide feedback on the draft Water Quality Management Plan (WQMP) via the County’s online engagement site and at an in-person at a public meeting later this week.

The public is invited to a presentation on the draft WQMP Wednesday, Dec. 13 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Teton County Library. The presentation will provide a high-level overview of the draft plan and will begin at 4:00 p.m. The public is encouraged to meet with staff and the consultants on the project, to ask questions, and provide feedback on the draft plan. For those not able to attend in person, they can view the meeting HERE.

Over the past two years, Teton County has been working with the Town of Jackson, Teton Conservation District, and Protect our Water Jackson Hole (POWJH) to develop the draft WQMP for the community. The draft plan was made public during a presentation on Nov. 15, 2023.

Since then, the public has been able to review the draft plan, watch the recorded presentation, and provide feedback by accessing the County’s public engagement site HERE. Public comment on the WQMP will remain open via Teton County’s engagement site until Jan. 18, 2024, at 5:00 p.m.
