Teton County, Wyo. administrator resigns

TETON COUNTY, Wyo. (KIFI) - Teton County administrator Alyssa Watkins has resigned.

County commissioners confirmed she quit Friday.

The resignation comes after the resignation of Fire Chief Stephen Jellie.

“Alyssa Watkins is an outstanding professional in every way," Jellie said in a statement. "Teton County government and the community have benefited significantly from her leadership and willingness to server selflessly. We can only hope her next advancement is to elected office where her dedication to fiscal discipline and unparalleled integrity for serving all the people can elevate the nation’s politics.“

Teton County paid Jellie $150,000 in severance pay.

Local News 8 has requested an interview with county commissioners several times now to address all this turmoil, including Friday morning.

We continue to wait for a call back.
