Election recount decides newest D91 school board trustee

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - UPDATE 3:45 p.m. The results for a contested Idaho Falls school board election are in.

Idaho Falls School District 91 Trustee Seat 4 was the subject of a recount Monday at the Idaho Falls Elections Office.

Challenger Shay Ricks won by a single vote against incumbent Elizabeth Cogliatti with a vote of 359-358.


ORIGNAL: On Monday afternoon, we will officially know who will be the newest school board member for Idaho Falls School District 91.

Shay Ricks was declared the winner of the seat election on Nov. 7, winning the election by one vote. Incumbent Elizabeth Cogliatti then immediately filed for a recount of the election.

The recount will occur at the Bonneville County Elections Office at 1 p.m.
