Sugar-Salem scores season-high 49 points in victory over Preston

SUGAR CITY, Idaho (KIFI) — Winless Preston traveled to Sugar City to take on the winners of 4 straight the Sugar Salem Diggers.
While Preston did not win this game, they put up an impressive fight scoring 35 on a very talented Sugar Salem defense.
Preston's defense however was unable to stop Sugar throughout the game allowing 49 points.
While Preston has now scored 20+ points in each of their 4 games, their defense has allowed 35+.
For Sugar Salem, this was their biggest offensive game so far this season. Previously their highest scoring game was a 41-0 win over Shelley.
Heading into this game the Diggers defense had given up only 21 points in their last 4 games.

Up next for the Diggers, they will be at home against Teton on October 9th.

For the Indians it doesn't get much easier, as they will host the red hot South Fremont Cougars next week.
