Thunder Ridge downs Rigby to open 5A district tournament

RIGBY, Idaho (KIFI) - Fifth seeded Thunder Ridge upset fourth seed Rigby 7-6 in the 5A District baseball play-in game Wednesday. Ethan Dunnells went 3-4 with 3 RBI to lead the Titans. Paxton Sheppard was 2-4 and knocked in a pair of runs for Rigby.

The Titans advance to face top seed Idaho Falls in a best of three series that begins with a double header Friday at Melaleuca Field. The Trojans season is over.
