Idaho Falls is state-bound after sweeping Thunder Ridge

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - The Idaho Falls Tigers are back in the state tournament in its first full season in 5A. They clinches a berth with a sweep over Thunder Ridge on Friday. Tigers won game one 15-0 and game two 12-2.

Nate Rose, Eliot Jones, and Jaxon Sorenson each combined for 4 RBI on the day. Rose also had seven strike outs on the mound in game two.

With a state berth secured, Idaho Falls will now play for the district championship. They begin a three game series with Highland Wednesday with a double header at Melaleuca Field. The Rams also clinched a trip to state with sweep over Madison.
