Declo knocks out Firth from state title contention

POCATELLO, Idaho (KIFI) - Declo took the lead in the first inning and never looked back in their opening 2A State baseball game against Firth. The Hornets beat the Cougars 4-0 at Halliwell Park.

Koby Zahorias threw a complete game shutout for Declo. Tregan Zollinger was perfect at the plate with two hits in two at bats.

The Hornets will play Nampa Christian in the semifinals. Firth plays Bear Lake in the consolation bracket on Friday.
