Idaho State drops to 0-4 with 35-14 loss to Northern Colorado

GREELEY, Colorado (KIFI) - The Idaho State football team opened Big Sky play on Saturday with a 35-14 loss to Northern Colorado.

ISU held their own in the first half tied at 14-14, but the Bears scored 21 straight points in the fourth quarter to seal the deal.

Despite the loss, the Bengals posted impressive offensive numbers, with 423 yards of total offense compared to the Bears 338.

Quarterback Hunter Hays went 25-34 for 264 yards with two touchdowns and one interception.

Wide Receiver Xavier Guillory had a his best day as a Bengal yet, netting seven catches and 120 yards receiving with one touchdown.

Raiden Hunter had a career-high day as well, rushing for 111 yards on 17 carries.

Next up for the Bengals is a home matchup with Montana on Oct. 1 at 1 p.m. in Holt Arena.
