Many local winners in Cross Country State Championships in Pocatello

POCATELLO, Idaho (KIFI) - The Idaho High School Cross Country State Championships were held on Saturday at the Portneuf Wellness Complex in Pocatello.

On the boys side, the Idaho Falls Tigers took home first place as a team in 4A. South Fremont won the championship in 3A and North Fremont took home the title in 2A. The Rockland Bulldogs also won the championship in 1A

Individual winners included Luke Athay from Idaho Falls and Corbin Johnston from North Fremont.

On the girls side, team champions featured Preston in 4A, Snake River in 3A and Soda Springs in 2A.

Individual winners for the girls included Nelah Roberts of Skyline winning her fourth straight state title in 4A. Sage Lyon won first place for South Fremont.
