Madison cruised to a 52-0 victory over Minico in season opener

REXBURG, Idaho (KIFI) — Madison opened its season in dominant fashion Friday night, shutting out Minico 52-0 at home.

The Bobcats had already built a 35-0 lead by the second quarter and continued to move the ball behind running back Hawke Cordero.

Cordero broke loose for a big gain down the left side before finding another seam later in the same drive to move Madison deeper into Minico territory.

Then, quarterback Micah Dougherty lofted a pass toward the back of the end zone, where Caydyn Shaw came down with the touchdown catch with two Spartan defenders in the area.

The Bobcats never let Minico back into the game, cruising to a 52-0 victory to begin the season.
