Rigby overcomes early deficit to beat Bonneville in volleyball comeback

RIGBY, Idaho (KIFI) – Thursday night in Rigby, the Trojans hosted the Bonneville Bees for a 5A versus 6A volleyball match. After Bonneville took the first set 25-23, Rigby answered by winning the next three sets, winning the match 3 sets to 1.

In the first set, Bonneville tied things up at 4 a side with a kill from Vespa Trane. Later, with the Bees leading 11-8 Alli Hall notched an emphatic kill, as she rose up and hammered the ball back over the net to give Bonneville a 12-8 lead. At match point in the first set, it was Ella Arave who capture the winning point, securing that 25-23 set 1 win.

With the Trojans battling back to win the match, they now move to 10-0 on the season, and Bonneville drops to 1-1. Rigby will face Thunder Ridge next on Thursday, September 3, and the Bees will take on Idaho Falls High School next on that same Thursday.
