Bulldogs drop to 1-4 after losing to Aberdeen 36-24

RIRIE, Idaho (KIFI) – The Ririe Bulldogs lost to the Aberdeen Tigers Friday night 36-24, falling to 1-4 on the season. The Bulldogs did cut into Aberdeen's lead and made it a one score game in the third quarter, ultimately they were unable to capitalize.

It started when Ririe's defense forced a punt, securing the ball for their offense. The Bulldogs then mounted a slow and methodical drive down the field, with junior Kyler Lewis taking center stage. Lewis was handed the ball seemingly every play as the team marched down the field.

Down near Aberdeen's goal line on that same drive, Lewis capped off the run by punching in a short-yardage carry, and then took the two-point conversion himself to make it a 5 point game late in third quarter.

However, Aberdeen's offense quickly went right down the field and scored a touchdown of their own. Ririe was unable to take the lead. The Bulldogs will look to earn their 2nd win of the season next Friday against West Jefferson.
