Rigby Trojans move to 6-1 after narrow win over Thunder Ridge

RIGBY, Idaho (KIFI) — Fridays game against the Thunder Ridge Titans is an epitome of the Rigby Trojans football program. They just find ways to win football games. The Titans came out with energy in the first half thanks to impressive performances all around, but specifically from Ryder Portmann and freshman Mason Gastelo. At the end of the half Rigby executed a solid 2 minute drill to get into field goal range and cut the Thunder Ridge lead down to 17-13.

With just minutes left in the game the Thunder Ridge Titans scored a touchdown to bring them within one (27-26). But a missed extra point gave the ball back to the Trojans who then got one more first down to seal the win.

For the now 6-1 Trojans they will be at Highland next week before returning home for their regular season finale in a showdown against the Madison Bobcats.

For the Titans, they fall to 4-3 and will face the Bobcats at home for their final home game, before heading down to Highland for their regular season finale.
