Rice at ease with his veteran roster

BOISE, Idaho (KIFI/KIDK) - The Boise State men's basketball team is ready to get back on campus and train for the first time in months.

For head coach Leon Rice, he does not expect all of his players to return on June 1st. Partly due to travel, but he also wants to give his team a little more rest due to their experience on the floor.

"Me and my coaching buddies talk and it's a lot easier to enjoy this time when you have a good team coming in," Rice said.

"You know your veterans. You know you have guys that you're excited about coaching. If we were in a total rebuilding year or something like that, where I didn't have all these great players sitting here, I think it'd be a lot harder for me to enjoy this time."
