Rigby Boys Basketball advances to district championship convincingly against Highland

RIGBY, Idaho (KIFI) - The Rigby Trojans are heading to the 5A District 5-6 championship thanks to a dominating 67-43 win against the Highland Rams Thursday night.

The Trojans came out swinging, hitting four straight threes as part of a 12-2 run to start the game.

Rigby kept pulling away for the 24-point victory.

Next up, heated rivals Rigby and Madison face off Tuesday night in the district championship while Highland hosts Thunder Ridge in an elimination game. Both contests tip off at 7:00 p.m.
