Sugar-Salem Girls Basketball takes down rival Teton in 3A State Championship

NAMPA, Idaho (KIFI) - A magical season ended in triumph for the Sugar-Salem Diggers Saturday, as Sugar-Salem took down the rival Teton Timberwolves 47-32 to win the 3A State Championship.

Teton started the game hot with an 8-0 run, but Sugar tied the game at 19 by halftime.

The second half is when the Diggers took over, outscoring the Timberwolves 28-13 in the half to win the state title by 15 points.

After finishing as the runner-up last season, Sugar-Salem wins the state title this season, while Teton is the runner-up this year after a hard-fought tournament run.
