Highland hires new boys basketball and girls soccer head coaches with ISU connections

POCATELLO, Idaho (KIFI) - A pair of coaches with Idaho State connections are set to lead their own programs at Highland High School, as the school has hired Matt Stucki to coach boys basketball and Savannah Rose to coach girls soccer.

Stucki was a Century High School and Idaho State standout as a player. He was named the Idaho Gatorade Boys Basketball Player of the Year in 2002 with the Diamondbacks, and at ISU, Stucki averaged 9.1 points per game in his Bengal career, scoring in double figures as a junior and senior.

Rose takes the helm of the defending 5A High Country champion Rams girls soccer team after coaching at Idaho State. She was a volunteer coach on the Bengals' women's soccer team since 2019.
