Five-run ninth inning by Grand Junction ends Chukars’ home and overall win streaks

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - The Idaho Falls Chukars' four-game win streak and six-game home win streak came to an end Saturday night after the Chuks gave up five runs in the ninth inning in an 11-7 defeat to the Grand Junction Rockies.

In a back-and-forth contest, the Chuks took the lead in the seventh inning and led 7-6 going into the ninth inning.

However, Grand Junction exploded for five runs in the final inning to take a commanding lead and win by four runs.

Next up, the Chukars and Rockies wrap up their six-game set Sunday at 4:05 p.m.
