Chukars lose fifth straight against Paddleheads in 14-13 heartbreaker

MISSOULA, MT (KIFI) - In a thrilling back-and-forth battle Thursday night, the Idaho Falls Chukars fell just short against the Missoula Paddleheads in a 14-13 defeat, their fifth loss in five tries against Missoula this season.

After trailing 6-1 going into the fourth inning, the Chuks scored a whopping nine runs in the frame to get right back into the game, but the Paddleheads immediately answered with six runs of their own for a 12-10 advantage.

Idaho Falls eventually went to the ninth trailing 13-11, and that's when Brady West tied the game with a two-run home run. However, Missoula's Lamar Sparks walked it off for the Paddleheads with an RBI single in their next at-bat.

Next up, the Chukars try to avoid the sweep Friday night in Missoula at 7:05 p.m.
