A late-inning comeback falls short for the Chukars in a 6-5 loss to the Voyagers

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - Despite scoring four unearned runs in the 8th inning Thursday night, the Idaho Falls Chukars' attempt at back-to-back comeback wins fell short in a 6-5 loss to the Great Falls Voyagers.

Great Falls got on the board with a pair of runs in the 2nd inning on a Will Olson RBI single and a Cristopher De Guzman RBI fielder's choice.

The Voyagers extended that lead to 6-1 entering the 8th inning. That's when the Chukars tallied a pair of runs on an error and Jose Reyes brought the Chuks within one on a two-run double.

But despite the comeback, the Chukars lost this one by a single run.

Next up, game four of the six-game set for the Chukars against the Voyagers is Friday night at 7:05 p.m.
