Chukars win wild back-and-forth battle with Hawks 12-10 to take big lead in Highway Series

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - The Highway Series did not disappoint Tuesday night, and the Chukars returned home after a long road trip to take a 9-4 lead in the Highway Series over the Boise with a 12-10 victory.

Early on, it looked like it would be a blowout. The Chukars scored three runs in each of the first two innings for a 6-0 lead.

However, Boise kept chipping away at the Chuks advantage, drawing within two runs in the 5th, and using a six-spot to get within one in the 8th inning.

But the Chukars held on for the series-opening win, taking the first game of the homestead 12-10.

Next up, Idaho Falls and Boise battle at the Luc once again Wednesday night at 7:05 p.m.
