Idaho Falls explodes for three goals in the 1st half for a 3-0 win over Rigby

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - Domination was the story of the 1st half for the Idaho Falls Tigers, as they were in complete control from the get-go Thursday night in a 3-0 win over the Rigby Trojans.

Jojo Soto got Idaho Falls with a bar down shot that barely crossed the line for a 1-0 lead, and Mark Christofferson tallied another goal for a 2-0 lead.

Then, in the highlight of the game, Christofferson sent an airborne pass to Freddy Ponce, and Ponce sent a right-footed strike into the back of the net before the ball hit the ground. Tigers held the lead in the 2nd half for the win.

Next up, Idaho Falls heads north to Madison Monday at 7:00 p.m., while Rigby travels south to Blackfoot on the same day at 4:30 p.m.
