South Summit (UT) throttles Marsh Valley 47-13 to begin Rocky Mountain Rumble

REXBURG, Idaho (KIFI) - Most of the rumbling Friday morning and early afternoon came from the South Summit Wildcats in Rexburg, as they blew out the Marsh Valley Eagles 47-13 to begin the Rocky Mountain Rumble.

South Summit was in a groove from the jump, scoring on the first play from scrimmage. Bracken Lassche and Caleby Thompson connected on an 80-yard touchdown for an early 7-0 lead.

Marsh responded quickly with a big play of its own on its opening drive. Bradley Belnap went deep for Alex Vaughan to score a 51-yard touchdown to tie the game.

But from there, it was all Wildcats. They scored 28 points in the first quarter, leading 28-7 at the end of one, and pulled awayhor the 47-13 win.

Next up, Marsh Valley will host Teton next Friday at 7:00 p.m.
