Blackfoot starts 4A High County conference with a solid 21-6 win over Hillcrest

BLACKFOOT, Idaho (KIFI) - Only one team could start 4A High County conference play 1-0 Friday night in Blackfoot, and it was the Blackfoot Broncos that prevailed in a 21-6 victory over the Hillcrest Knights.

Defense prevailed in the 1st half, as Blackfoot scored the only points on a Deegan Hale touchdown pass from Jaxon Grimmett.

There were more points in the 2nd half, but it remained a defensive battle with Blackfoot coming out on top.

Next up, Blackfoot continues conference play at Shelley while Hillcrest heads to Skyline for a 4A High Country battle as well. Both games kick off at 7:00 p.m. Friday.
