Despite bounce back win, Boise State looks for more offensive growth against UT Martin

BOISE, Idaho (KIFI) - The Boise State Broncos are back on the blue this weekend, when the Broncos match up with UT Martin after picking up their first win of the season last week at New Mexico.

Quarterback Hank Bachmeier delivered a bounce back performance, with three touchdowns on 170 yards in the win, a much needed boost of confidence.

But even with that improvement, Head Coach Andy Avalos and the coaching staff know there's more room to grow for the entire offense.

"He got stronger as the game went," Avalos said. "The best thing about it is with the looks that we are getting from that particular defense, he took what the defense gave him."

"I know our guys are motivated and emphasizing that we've got to be able throw the ball with more efficiency and with more aggressiveness to be the offense that we want to be," Offensive Coordinator Tim Plough said.

Kickoff for Saturday's opener is set for 2:00 p.m. MT.
