Idaho Falls blanks Skyline 3-0, and Tigers and Grizz draw 0-0 in Emotion Cup matches

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - Exciting soccer matches took over the Ravsten Stadium turf for the first time Tuesday night, as Idaho Falls and Skyline faced off in both boys and girls soccer for the Emotion Cup.

The Tigers dominated the boys match for a 3-0 shutout. Idaho Falls took a 2-0 lead to the halftime break, and Breiner Chase scored an insurance goal to complete the scoring.

In the girls match, defense reigned supreme, even with some excellent scoring chances by both teams. The Tigers and Grizz played to a scoreless draw.

Next up, on the boys side, Idaho Falls travels to Blackfoot Saturday at 11:00 a.m. while Skyline hosts Highland Thursday at 7:30 p.m. On the girls side, Idaho Falls hosts Madison Thursday at 7:00 p.m. while Skyline travels to Highland the same day at 4:30 p.m.
