In a neck and neck battle, Idaho Falls scores its first win of the season 22-21 over Bonneville

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - The Idaho Falls Tigers are in the win column in 2022. The Tigers won a gritty 4A High County battle 22-21 over the Bonneville Bees in the conference opener for both teams.

Trailing 7-0 in the final seconds of the first half, Colton Lyda connected with Tyson Kirkham for a long completion and a buzzer-beating touchdown to get on the board. Then, the ensuing two-point conversion gave Idaho Falls an 8-7 lead at the break.

The offenses woke up in the second half, but the game ended the same way the half did, with Idaho Falls ahead by one point.

Next up, Idaho Falls takes on Skyline in the Emotion Bowl next Saturday at 4:00 p.m. while Bonneville travels to Shelley next Friday at 7:00 p.m.
