Highland tops Rigby 2-1 for a hard fought road victory in conference play

RIGBY, Idaho (KIFI) - An early 2nd half goal proved to be the difference for the Highland Rams Tuesday night, as Highland edged out the Rigby Trojans 2-1 on the road.

Rigby got on the board first on an own goal, but the Rams answered quickly when Jarod Prescott sent a great pass on target to Pierce Davis for the tying goal in the 36th minute.

Then, early in the 2nd half, on a mad scramble in front of the Trojans net, the Rams scored the eventual game-winner in the victory.

Next up, Highland hosts Madison Saturday at 11:00 a.m. while Rigby travels to Thunder Ridge Monday at 4:00 p.m.
