Idaho State Bengals Hockey gears up for first home games in inaugural season

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - For the first time, the Idaho State Bengals are fielding an ACHA hockey team, which has begun play in the 2023-24 season.

Following their first games in Utah, the Bengals begin their home schedule at the Mountain America Center in Idaho Falls Oct. 6 and 7 against the Utah County Blizzard.

Head Coach Sean Gardner credits his son, Dusty, a defenseman on the team, for coming up with the idea of creating an ISU hockey team last year.

Together, they have recruited players such as Kristian Neddo, Kendal Olsen, and Clayton Rohner, who are team captains along with Dusty. Neddo and Rohner both played for the Spud Kings for part of their inaugural season.

You can find more info about the team on their Facebook page at this link.
