Sports Line Game of the Week Preview: Rigby vs. Madison

REXBURG, Idaho (KIFI) - The final Sports Line Game of the Week in the high school football regular season pits two bitter rivals, Rigby and Madison, against each other with high stakes.

Simply put, it's win and in for both the Trojans and the Bobcats. The winner punches a ticket to the 5A state playoffs, while the loser likely misses the postseason.

Based on the latest MaxPreps rankings, Rigby could still earn the at-large bid to the playoffs with a loss, but Madison is likely too low in the rankings to claim that spot with a defeat.

The Trojans and Bobcats have split their last two battles, with Rigby winning big 42-0 in 2022 on home turf and Madison coming out victorious in comeback fashion 31-28 in 2021.

Kickoff Friday night is at 7:00 p.m., and we will have the highlights of this game on Sports Line Friday Night, during Local News 8 at 10.
